There’s no such thing! Anyone that tells you they create Viral Videos is full of Baloney.

Viral Videos just happen.

Just tell great stories and if they go viral that’s added bonus. Even after 25 years of producing video I am still surprised by what videos get more views over others.

Below are two examples of videos that I’ve created that were totally opposite of my expectations.

Maybe I should just create funny dog videos! Now that is a secret formula working for this video creator. Wow.

Paula Puleo the CMO of Michaels talks about the importance of video.

Why video is effective.
1) Personal connection to customers. Michaels is one of the largest crafts company in the nation and it can be difficult to connect to customers. Video allows that one to one connection to their customers.
2) Focus on Customer. Doing videos on customers and their stories shows that Michaels puts the customer first. Featuring your customers in a video shows you care about them and makes them feel special. It really does create loyalty.
3) Michaels doesn’t sell crafts. It sells memories. Video storytelling about customers memories is something that people can relate to.

Full disclosure: Chris Yates and Huddle Productions helps create the videos for Michaels YouTube Channel and Facebook Page.

Bestselling author and entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk began his career in his family’s business, Shopper’s Discount Liquors. He soon rebranded the store as Wine Library, launching a retail website and boosting its revenue from $4 million to $60 million a year.

In 2006 Vaynerchuk launched Wine Library TV, a daily video blog about wine. With the tagline “changing the wine world,” the show offers an unpretentious approach to a historically stuffy subject. As the audience grew and word spread of his informal and unorthodox approach to wine, Gary made numerous national television appearances and landed a book deal.

His profile is featured on Ted Talks.

Gary Vaynerchuk did this video with Chris Yates for the Gary Vee in Big D event. Verizon sponsored this video.
