The American Heart Association uses Social Media to help them build relationships with doctors from all over the world. Cortney Nicolato the Senior Manager of Strategic Alliances and Health Technology says Social Media especially Twitter has helped them with research.
Cortney was trying to get information about launching a brand new program that will go out to 300,000 physicians. In the past trying to get information like this from 300,000 physicians would have taken months. With Twitter the research took about 1 day.
